Meet Up Location:

• GaKuDen Bakery: No. 99, Hengyang Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City (near exit 4 of Ximen Station).

Meet Up Times:

• 9:30am shuttle bus: 9:15am, daily
• 1:30pm shuttle bus: 1:15pm, daily
• You must arrive at the meet up point on time. If you are late, the bus will not wait for you.

How To Get There:

• Exit for Ximen MRT Station Exit 4 and walk ahead for 10-15m and you will find a minibus with the orange logo at the front

Pickup and drop off point Jiufen Shuttle Bus :

During Weekends & Holidays:

• There will be traffic control during weekends and holidays. Jifen shuttle bus pick up or drop off point will be in the parking lot no.9. All participants are asked to pick up a Jiufen shuttle to Jiufen Old Street which only takes 10 minutes to arrive. Please prepare Easycard with at least NT $ 30 in it, or get a total of NT $ 30 in cash (NT $ 15 for one way) to pay for the shuttle bus ticket

During Weekdays:

• The shuttle bus will stop at the Taiyang parking lot during weekdays, which only takes about 5 minutes to walk to Jiufen Old Street

As many of Taipei's visitors know, this historic ancient hill village of Jiufen is arguably the number one place to visit. However, until now transportation to get there is not an easy thing! Avoid slow buses and expensive taxis and book a very comfortable return trip to Jiufen departing from Ximending at an affordable price! Stop at Shifen to decorate paper lanterns along the way and then fly them. After that, take a walk in the small alleys of Jiufen which are decorated with red lanterns, looking for souvenirs, hunting local dessert culinary such as taro or stopping by the traditional teahouse and spending time there while resting. This is not a guided tour, so you are free to enjoy Jiufen at the time you set yourself. What's more, you will even get the opportunity to meet other backpackers on a bus trip. Q: Can I come back from Jiufen the next day ?
A: This bus only provides a same-day return. If you would like to stay overnight in Jiufen, please make sure that you tell the driver so that the driver and passengers on the bus won’t wait for you unnecessarily. Please note that you won’t get any compensation if you don’t take the return journey. You will have to organize your own transport back the next day when you decide to return.

Q: Does a 15 month old baby need to buy a ticket?
A: Yes, all travelers must buy a ticket, even babies. The price is the same as for adults. The charge is mainly for the operator to buy insurance for every passenger.

Q: Do we have time to go to Shifen waterfall and to fly lanterns at Shifen?
A: Not quite enough. We suggest you just fly the lanterns and walk along Shifen Old Street. Since it takes about 40 minutes just to walk to and from Shifen Waterfall.
