Additional Information:

• If the value on your Octopus card is zero or negative, it cannot be used until it is reloaded
• Place your Octopus card steadily over an Octopus reader, hold and wait until you hear a "Dood" sound and there is an indication that the transaction is completed and the remaining value is shown on the screen before removing your Octopus. If the transaction is incomplete because you hold your Octopus too quickly over a reader, please present it over the reader again
• Do not hold more than one Octopus, or an Octopus with another contactless smart cards, over an Octopus reader at one time
• Do not tamper with your Octopus card, such as bend, write on, scratch, tap, or cut it, or paste stickers, photos or accessories on it. In case of any of the above events, transactions will not be honoured and remaining stored value will not be refunded
• Your Octopus card can be reloaded by cash at thousands of locations throughout Hong Kong. (Eg. 7 Eleven, Circle K, 759 Store, McDonald, VanGO, Watsons, Mannings etc)
• This Octopus does not come with Child or Senior price options, only Adult cards are available.
• You can have your card loaded at any Add Value Machine at all MTR stations; customer service centres of the MTR, Airport Express, Light Rail, and KMB; or the Citybus booth at the Airport Ground Transportation Centre. You may also add funds to your card at convenience stores, supermarkets, or mini stores like 7-Eleven and Circle K, which are authorised Add Value service providers.
• You can request for a refund of your remaining balance in the Octopus card at the MTR Customer Service Centre located at each station.
• The Octopus card is valid for 10 years after the purchase.
• Please note that Counter A14 at Hong Kong International Airport will not return your Octopus card after the refund of your card balance.
• If you wish to keep the card, please head to any of the service counters within MTR stations.
• Your Octopus card will no longer be valid once the balance has been refunded.
• Your card cannot be shared by more than one person travelling together on public transport.
