Fukuoka Tower Admission
In 1989, in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the city's construction, the Asia Pacific Expo was held and the Fukuoka Tower was built to commemorate this event. Fukuoka Tower is the highest waterfront tower in Japan. It is 234 meters high. The tower is a regular triangular prism with 8000 pieces of heat-reflecting glass. It is also affectionately known as the "mirror sail". The Fukuoka Tower's top floor observation room is 123 meters above the ground and offers 360 degree panoramic views over Fukuoka's downtown and coastal scenery.
Fukuoka Tower is a popular dating spot that has been voted as a sacred place for lovers. It is decorated with "100 flowers" and "heart-shaped flower arches". Lovers stand in the arches, hold the switch in hand, the arch lights illuminate, and the bell of love sings. The Lovers Resort has a camera stand for taking commemorative photos. In this romantic space, sitting on a glass bench full of flowers, this sweet moment will be deeply left in the hearts of two people. "Lover lock" can engrave two people's names, dates, messages, etc. Every day, many couples come here to hang lovers locks. There are also observatory, sky restaurant, souvenir shop and other facilities.
