[Kyoto Day Tour]Spring Chapter - Sakura and Onsen

$ 87.59

Sagano Romantic Train, Arashiyama, Fufu no Yu

Join us for a day of hanami, Japanese for cherry blossom viewing, starting from a ride on the Sagano Romantic Train from Torokko Saga Station to Torokko Kameoka Station. If the timing is perfect, it would be hard to not describe this train journey as the most beautiful in Japan.
After the train tour, we will head to Arashiyama to see its spring form. You are welcomed to eat lunch during this part of the journey.
After lunch, visit with us to the onsen next to Arashiyama, Fufu no Yu, an authentic Japanese style hot spring resort. Experience the open air onsen as the cherry blossoms fall slowly into the waters.

Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park

The final stop will be Yasaka Shrine, also known as Gion Shrine, located at the end of Gion Street. The shrine founded over 1350 years ago is lit at night with hundreds of lanterns bearing names of local businesses. It is well known for Gion Matsuri, the summer festival that is celebrated every July 17th and 24th, one of Japan's three best festivals.
Adjacent to Yasaka Shrine is the Maruyama Park, one of the most famous and popular cherry blossom viewing spots in Kyoto. The source of its popularity is due to the tall shidarezakura (weeping cherry tree) located in the centre of the park. Sip on Japanese sake as you view the falling cherry blossoms for quality hanami (cherry blossom viewing) time.
