Even only in 3 days, one can simply have fun and chill out. Either modern or “natural” attractions can be enjoyed at once. Pick your preference: fancy attraction or the free one. Here is the recommendation of the best places to visit in Singapore in 3 days. Some of them are regarded as Singapore must visit 2018. Let’s figure it out then check your bucket list!

Day 1: Unveiling the Wildlife Singapore

a. Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by The Bay

What’s the special thing in Singapore? I’d like to say that it still remains the “space of nature” behind its urban life. Gardens by the Bay is the vivid depiction of how natural sustainability still works here. It even becomes a Singapore’s national icon. Covering approximately 101 hectares, the garden offers beautiful and impressive attractions. First, the one and only Supertree Grove and OCBC Skyway. These artificial giant trees are covered by more than 160.000 plants (mostly orchids and bromeliads) and connected by 128-meters-long walkway named OCBC Skyway. Free admission ticket includes Supertree Grove area but you have to buy ticket for OCBC Skyway entrance. Adult fare is $8 while children fare (3-12 years old) is $5.

Next, don’t ever miss the prominent spot which is Cloud Forest or Cloud Mountain. It is a cool-moist conservatory and replicate of tropical mountain covered by diverse plants and flowers. Furthermore, it has the highest indoor waterfall in the world which is 35 meters in height. Gardens by the Bay is located in 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore and open from 09:00-21:00 (last admission 20:30). You can get there by MRT and stop at the nearest MRT Station: Bayfront (CE1/DT16).

b. Night Safari

Night Safari

Imagining the true wildlife like in Africa? Start your safari at Singapore Zoo now! This is the best place in Singapore if you are not really into the modern life in Singapore. Let’s have a “nocturnal” journey in Night Safari program. Night Safari provides Safari Tram to explore the zoo along four trails called Leopard, Wallaby, Fishing Cat, and East Lodge. You will be guided by English, Japanese, and Chinese-speaking professional crews along the tour. You have a chance to get closer to various animals such as zebra, lion, elephant, anteater, Nile Hippos, etc. Safari Tour is not the single attraction here. Some of the animal talents will entertain you on Creatures of the Night Show. This show is held daily at 19:30, 20:30, and 21:30.

Besides, don’t miss Thumbuakar Fire Show. The collaboration of fire-twirling performance, energetic moves of the talents, and rhythm of drums lets you feel the nuance of the jungle night. This show is performed everyday (except Wednesday) at 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00. Singapore Zoo is located in 80 Mandai Lake Rd. You can go there by bus or MRT. Nearest bus stops are Bus 926, 927, and 138; while the nearest MRT Station is Woodlands MRT (NS9). Night Safari ticket for adult is $45 and for children is $30.

Day 2: Round-the-Clock Fun

  1. Universal Studio Singapore

Universal Studio Singapore

For the young folks, holiday means chilling out and having fun. Universal Studio Singapore is the right place to go for fun. Universal Globe is the most popular spot, especially for taking picture. It sounds very common and mainstream but it is one of things to do in Singapore free. Either adults or kids can enjoy fun attractions offered here. If you are brave enough to take a challege, you should try the extreme ride such as Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLONTM. This ride consists of 2 roller coasters which are the red coaster (human) and the blue one (cylon).

The blue coaster (cylon) is more challenging than the red one since it has no stepping floor and your feet are hung during the “twist”. Well, it is not suitable for kids because the required of minimum height is 125cm. Don’t worry, kiddos! Another fun are waiting for you. The popular characters like the Minions, Penguin of Madagascar, Puss in Boots, Elmo and friends are ready to play with you. Aren’t they way too cute? Hug them and take a nice picture. Located in Resort World Sentosa, USS is quite easy to reach by pubic transportation like buses (RWS8, 188R, 963R), MRT (Harbourfront Station line NE1/CC29), and Sentosa Express (Waterfront Station).

 2. Wings of Time

Wings of Time

Singapore is a vibrant city that never sleeps. As the sun goes down, so the million lights are on. It is like there are always many things to do in Singapore at night. Sparkles from every corner of the city will mesmerize anyone who enjoy the night. Watching spectacular light show like Wings of Time is recommended, especially for the tourists. “Arts meet technology” is the core of this show combining the high technology and touch of arts. This outdoor show looks sophisticated since it uses colorful 3D laser lights on the water screen. Besides, it is harmonized by music, water fountains, and fireworks.

The show itself presents the mythical story of Shahbaz and friends. Are you getting into their adventure and friendship now? Please head to the Siloso Beach theater by Sentosa Express. You need to go from Sentosa Station at VivoCity Level 3, Lobby L then stop at Beach Station. It is performed at 19:40 and 20:40. The ticket can be purchased in Sentosa counters such as Merlion Plaza, Beach Station, Imbiah Lookout, Waterfront Station, and Sentosa Station. The admission tickets are vary depending on the seat type. It costs $23 for premium seats and $18 for regular seats.

Day 3: Magical Dining

a. Wizarding Cafe of Harry Potter

Wizarding Cafe of Harry Potter

Can’t you pass through the Platform 9 ¾, Potterhead? If magic doesn’t work for you, you can walk straight to another platform which is Platform 1094. Platform 1094 takes you to wizarding world too. You won’t study about magic but eat. Yeah, it is a Harry Potter-themed cafe. If you have no idea what to eat in Singapore and want to taste something new, Platform 1094 is the right place. The concept is totally inspired by wizarding world of Harry Potter including the interior design and the dishes. As you entrance the cafe, you suddenly feel the Hogwarts spirit. The warm brown bricks wall, wooden furniture, and chandelier simply remind us to Hogwarts. The owner also puts reindeer image on the wooden chair. Perhaps it is a portrayal of Harry’s patronus.

Furthermore, the magic wands are also put on the table as the properties. The dishes are typically Western but you should order the signature cocktail, Goblet of Fire. This “potion” is the mix of Bacardi rum, curacao liqueur, lemonade and also contains alcohol. The fire amazingly rises when you scatter cinnamon powder on it. It costs $15. Like its name, this cafe is located in 1094 Serangon Road. If you go there by MRT, take North East Line (purple line) and stop at Boon Keng station then walk about 10 minutes.

b. Sea Dining

Sea Dining

Spending the night in Singapore is always wonderful. Surely you will have the extraordinary experience, Sea Dining for example. This underwater restaurant offers you a wonderful concept of dining. Ocean Restaurant is managed by the America’s first lady Iron Chef, Cat Cora! What an exclusive restaurant with the exclusive menu served by exclusive chef too! This restaurant features the romantic vibes and it simply suits the couple who have romantic dinner. Furthermore, you will be accompanied by swimming fishes around you during dinner. Aquarium view gives the impression of tranquility and lets you indulge in the comfortable and calming vibes. The dishes are mostly Western cuisine, however, the Oriental dishes are also served here.

It costs $220 for 8 Course and $172 for 6 Course. Probably it is a little bit pricey, but it is well worth it for the delights you get. Dinner time starts from 18:00 to 22:30 (last order at 22:00). This restaurant is not only for dinner but also lunch. Lunch time starts from 11:30 to 14:30 (last order at 14:15). It is located in SEA Aquarium, Resort World Sentosa.
